NVIDIA faces several company-specific risks that could impact its future performance. These risks span competition, technological advancements, and sector-specific challenges. The following points outline the key risks that NVIDIA must navigate:

- Competition from AMD: NVIDIA’s dominance in GPU and professional visualization markets, which contribute significantly to its gross profit, faces ongoing competition from AMD. Historically, this has been both performance and price competition.

- ARM-Based Processors: Intense competition exists in ARM-based applications processors, where competitors are striving to surpass NVIDIA’s early lead in dual-core technology.

- Intel’s Emerging Competition: NVIDIA’s professional GPU computing products face a new challenge from Intel’s many-integrated core - MIC - processor family, which could offer more flexibility and ease of software development, although NVIDIA´s CUDA is strongly positioned with developers.
